It's definitely my favorite place to visit with the possible exception of Waimea on the Big Island of Hawaii. I usually get to S.F. at least four times a year, so I'll give you advance warning of my next trip there. I can share some of my favorite eating places in the Richmond and Sunset areas of the city. However, my laughter is very bitterweet as I miss you very much and can't pass by Queen Anne, the Ballard Methodist Church, or so many of our reliable breakfast places without feelign a little choked up. I don’t want to imply that Wendy nags me, but Wendy nagged me a few times for the photos, however I did not finish the task by her deadline....

2) The discoloration story (Where Wendy thought she was using lotion but it turned out to be tanning oil) reminds me of the time that my mom accidentally sprayed our childhood pet dog with fake Christmas snow in a can instead of flea spray..... (Maybe I should make another posting to tell that tale.....). It also kind of reminded me of the time my Mom sprayed Pam (cooking spray) in her hair instead of hair spray. Anyways, I was very concerned with the coloration and was glad to see it was not cancer. Also, it was funny as hell when wendy discovered the cause of the discoloration..... Wendy isn't "Blonde" but it sure was a "blonde" moment.

3) I’m pretty sure that I was in the right on the “map” discussion (I’m not calling it an “argument” or “Fight”).

4) The MINI was MADE for Highway 1.

5) No fighting over music…. We have that one figured out – driver get to listen to their Ipod through the car stereo system.

6) The best thing on the whole trip was our Sunday morning brunch w/ live jazz musicians in Eureka, California.

7) I am really impressed, thankfule, and happy that wendy created a Blog. Well Done Wendy!

8) We have TONS of room, come visit us, you wont have to stay in a hotel (How is that for a sales pitch – You won’t have to stay in hotel.

T

So much fun to read about your trip! Within a matter of seconds, I forgot my username and password so I am not sure how this will sign on.
What did Tim think of the discoloration on your hands? Or was his hurry to get to SFO just a guise to not catching what you had? It sounds like you had a great time on your drive down, except for all the parts I recommended, sorry about that. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However, I think you were thrown off your daily routine and that probably played a part in your negative comments about our beautiful oregon coast. It is very fitting, knowing you, that you would love a place that filmed "Murder She Wrote" more appealing to your senses...my mom and all her friends at the VFW hall are jealous!
I am glad you found your niche in the chinese ballard. I can't wait to visit you but feel that I may get lost in your neighborhood...do you have a homing device for visitors yet? Please put one in place for our visit.
I am trying not to take offense to your Seattlite comment but, since I moved out of the area to find a greater sense of community, I guess I won't hold it against you. Also, I recommend getting a large atlas that doesn't require folding...it causes a lot less problems. Just watch out for the other "hidden" emotional sabatogers on future road trips such as radio station preferences, favorite fast food joints, and the bathroom break desires. These have hurt us in the past.
Glad all is well and you are so QUICK to assimilate to California culture. However, it IS San Francisco so it doesn't count. They have thought about becoming their own state...I swear I read that.
Love ya and miss you terribly, although I have probably talked to you more in the past month than all year...but who is counting!
